At the November meeting of the Men's Club our guest speaker was our new HSV Police Chief Kristi Bennett.

Chief Bennett shared with us her career path that led her back home to the Jessiville area as "Top Cop" for HSV.  She is very excited for the opportunity to assist our residents in their security and health concerns as they enjoy living in our unique environment.  She discussed the organization, training and experience of our police force and the unique situations the Village residents present to her officers as they work the assigned shifts throughout the day and night to keep everyone. safe.
Patrons enjoyed a night of Italian food and music sponsored by the Men's Club.  Home made Lasagna was served to the tables by our handsome waiters.  Thanks goes out to Joanne Kolmeyer who prepared the lasagna, Mairan Lavelle who helped serve and to Mike Passaglia for the garlic breadsticks and to Dave Banaszynski who planned and hosted the event.

The Men's Club organized a bus trip to see the Arkansas Travelers play the NW Arkansas Naturals at Dickie-Stephens Park in North Little Rock on Aug 9, 2022.  The bus left the SHJ church parking lot at 4:00PM with 46 baseball fans who enjoyed hamburgers & hot dogs, baked beens, chips, soft drinks and a few adult beverages on a warm (not HOT) night at the ball park along the Arkansas river with views of the Little Rock skyline.  Other than a Traveler's WIN the highlight of the night were two souvenir baseballs recovered by members of our group.

Rick Martinek, Program Director, organized this event, made sure everyone found their seats and had
plenty to eat, got us all back on the bus and safely back to the Village.

Thanks, Rick

A total of 74 members and guests attended the Men's Club Christmas Dinner on Tuesday December 14, 2021.  Karen Feckler and the "Son Beams" led the  Men's Club members and their guests in Christmas songs sing-a-long.  This followed a pretty rough version of the "Twelve Days of Christmas" song performed by the men.  Entertainment was preceeded by a Prime Rib and Salmon dinner prepared and servered by the Home Plate Cafe.  Rick Martinek, past 2 year President, was honored for his dedication and service with his name added to the Past Presidents wall plaque.
